Our Dermalux LED Treatment is Changing The Beauty Game

LED light therapy has certainly grown in popularity over the last few years. And for good reasons, too! Low-level light therapy has clinically been proven to promote wound healing, tissue repair and skin rejuvenation. Here at Simply Laser, we recently introduced the Dermalux LED Phototherapy device to our treatment list. Dermalux is a multi-award winning treatment that uses the power of light to trigger the body’s natural cell processes without transferring heat or creating trauma to resolve problem skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, and inflammatory conditions.

Sound good? Here’s everything you need to know about Dermalux LED technology and how it can benefit your skin.

Dermalux LED Technology

The Dermalux LED systems are uniquely designed to offer optimum power, stability and longevity, making them the most efficient and accurate LED system available. In fact, Dermalux is the only system capable of delivering all three clinically proven wavelengths - Blue, Red and Near Infrared. Each wavelength penetrates the skin to different depths and has a different effect on the skin.

Red Light (633nm)

Red light can penetrate up to 8 millimetres into the skin, offering many skin rejuvenation benefits. Dermalux’ red light at 633nm works to accelerate cell renewal, boost collagen and elastin production, and increase natural hydration levels for radiant and plump skin. It also increases blood flow, thus improving nutrient and oxygen delivery to the cells, as well as your body’s ability to detoxify. Key benefits include enhanced circulation, smooth and firm skin, increased skin hydration, and boosted collagen production.

Blue Light (415 nm)

Blue light is a blemish-fighting light that penetrates the pores and kills acne-causing bacteria that resides at a depth a traditional topical acne treatment cannot reach. It also helps to balance sebum production by making the oil glands less active, which may help reduce acne breakouts. Blue light is safe enough to treat other skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

Near Infrared Light (830nm)

Near Infrared Light penetrates the body deeper than red light, reaching into soft tissues, muscles and even the bones to improve tissue repair, regenerate the skin, and reduce inflammation, irritation and redness. You can use near infrared light to reduce scars, calm redness, reduce pigmentation and relieve pain. It also builds strength and integrity for compromised and sensitive skin conditions such as rosacea.

Real Results After One Treatment

After one 30-minute treatment of the Dermalux LED light, you’ll see visible results almost immediately. Your skin will be plump and well-hydrated, and redness and irritation will start to settle down. However, the number of treatments you require will ultimately depend on the number of skin factors that need to be addressed; we may recommend a course of treatments in close succession, plus regular maintenance treatments for long-lasting results. Book a consultation with one of our estheticians, and we can work on a treatment plan that suits your skin goals.

Use in Conjunction With Other Skin Treatments

Our Dermalux LED treatment can be used either as a standalone treatment, or in conjunction with one of our other facial treatments. You can expect far more superior and enhanced when combined with procedures such as chemical peels, skin needling, injectables as well as more traditional facial treatments. Our estheticians can advise you on the best procedure combination for your skin during your consultation session.
